Building Community by Supporting Stanford Students and Families  Deliveries Website Closed for New Orders As you know, Stanford has asked students to leave campus and not return after Spring Break. They are asking any students who must remain on campus to minimize or eliminate trips off campus. They are also limiting events for members of the surrounding communities to come onto the Stanford campus. For example all of the museums have been closed and Stanford Live events have been cancelled through May 15. It is not known at this time when students will be able to return to campus. As such, we have disabled the Bakery Ordering portion of our website until in-person classes resume at Stanford. We will notify you once this happens. Parents' Club Programming Cancellations We have been closely monitoring the Covid-19 situation, and in keeping with the recent advice from the Santa Clara County Public Health Department, we have made the decision to cancel our in-person Annual Meeting in April. At this meeting on April 14, we were scheduled to hear Dr. Jeff Hancock, Professor in Stanford's Department of Communication, speak about "The Psychology of Social Media". We are sad to miss this presentation, and hope to re-schedule next year. Additionally at this meeting, we were to hold elections for our Board Members for the 2020-21 fiscal year. We will be moving to email voting only, in light of the Health Department guidelines. Watch for your emailed ballot and please vote for our Board slate once you receive it. Stanford has also let us know that they have cancelled our tour of the Anderson Collection that was scheduled for May 12, so that in-person meeting will also not be held. And finally, we have decided to cancel our Spring Social, traditionally held some time in the first half of May. So in summary, the Parents' Club will not be holding any events through the middle of May. Thanks and best wishes from all of us at the Parents' Club during these challenging times.
